The sandstones of the Turpan Basin belong mostly to graywacke and their compositional and textural maturity are generally low,indicating a strong erosional and rapid transportational environment. 吐-哈盆地的砂岩主要属杂砂岩类，总的结构成熟度和成分成熟度均较低，形成于强烈剥蚀、快速搬运的沉积环境中。
Its basement is mainly composed of Paleozoic epimetamorphic rocks and the cover mostly consists of Cretaceous graywacke and organic shale formation,as well as Cenozoic loose elastic accumulations. 笔者通过对前人资料分析研究后认为：松辽盆地具有良好的成矿地质条件和找矿前景；
